Put simply, laser hair removal uses laser light to reduce hair growth on the face and body over a series of treatments. The settings are matched to your skin and hair, so it can be used on all skin types and virtually any part of the body.

Why laser hair removal?

If you’ve ever dealt with the nuisance and inconvenience of unwanted body hair and its upkeep, you’re probably looking for a solution. Laser hair removal is an easy alternative to shaving or waxing: highly concentrated beams of light are targeted into the hair follicles, destroying the hair without damaging the surrounding skin.

Laser hair removal can treat the face, legs, arms, underarms, bikini line and other areas. It targets unwanted hair at the follicle, leaving skin smoother.

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal gently heats and destroys the hair follicles at the base using infrared laser light, which is attracted to the coloured pigment in individual hairs. The laser passes through the skin’s dermal layers, leaving skin smoother after a series of treatments. The settings are matched to your skin and hair type, for precise and gentle treatments.

How many treatments will I need?

Because hair grows in cycles, several treatments are needed for lasting hair reduction. You can expect 10 to 25% hair reduction with each treatment, and regrowth after treatment is usually lighter and finer. Treatments are typically performed every 4 to 8 weeks.
