Excessive sweating

Treatment for heavy underarm and palm sweating, known as hyperhidrosis.

How referrals work Book a cosmetic consultation

Medical care: referral required. Cosmetic care: no referral needed.

Excessive sweating

Sweating at the gym feels awesome. Sweating on a date or at the office? Not so much.

It’s normal to get drenched lifting weights or running a marathon, but spreading underarm stains during a romantic moment or wet palms when shaking hands can be truly humiliating. If you are one of the many people with this condition, called hyperhidrosis, you are likely to sweat four to five times more than normal.

Treatment options

You don’t have to let them see you sweat. Give your confidence the boost it deserves: at Rao Dermatology, we offer treatments that can reduce excessive sweating.

Neuromodulator injections

Skilfully injecting a neuromodulator into the areas of concern can provide significant relief from this common condition.

Sweat-gland treatment

ThermiDry™ is a newer technology and another option for excessive sweating. It is a microinvasive procedure that disables the subdermal sweat glands for up to 2 years.

Getting treatment

Medical care needs a referral. To see Dr. Rao about hyperhidrosis as a medical patient, ask your doctor or nurse practitioner for a referral. How referrals work.
